Longevity and Life Expectancy Increase

Longevity Definition
Longevity, lifespan and life expectancy are often interchanged when discussing the concept of human longevity. Longevity specifically describes a persons ability to live a longer life which is generally beyond the species-specific average age at death [De Benedictis & Franceschi 2006]. In scientific terms, longevity can be considered as the average lifespan under the most ideal conditions.

Lifespan, is the maximum survival time observed between birth and death. Life expectancy, can be considered in terms of the average lifespan of a population. We focus on longevity because we have been highly interested in some of the latest research that shows if we take action now, we can extend the years of our life beyond what is ordinarily possible. We are not talking about how to live to 80 or 90 years old. We are talking about how do we live in a healthy state for the longest time before we pass. We are talking how do you get to live to be 120, or 150 years old. If that peaks your interest you are in good company.
